Study visit to a specialised administration focused on the protocols of aid to the victims, in particular with emphasis on coordination between security services (police), administrative services (medical or social services) and the judiciary, with special attention for gender-based violence, interfamily violence and minors and victims of terrorism.

During the extension period of the Euromed Justice III Project, this Study Visit under Component I- ACCESS TO JUSTICE AND LEGAL AID, more particularly JUSTICE and NEW TECHNOLOGIES, will tackle concrete examples of how to use new technologies in the Justice Administration. The visit will take place in Spain and the participants will see how their Spanish colleagues deal with these issues in their daily practice.

The project phases developed so far have shown that one of the institutional factors that are not clearly resolved in the region is the division of governance powers -constitutional and legal - of the Judiciary and the Administration of justice between the various institutional actors and powers. Undoubtedly this is due to its complexity and examples of this can also be found in the EU MS.

In particular, this session is focused on the importance of International Conventions on criminal law in order to reinforce the Rule of Law and international cooperation in this field. In addition, the participants attending activities of the first phase of the project stressed the importance of dealing with the work developed by the European Judicial Network.
